An oldie but a goodie

We recently reached an important milestone with the weekly maths challenge, one of our most enduring outreach activities.
Inspiring a love of problem solving in young people is core to our existence and the weekly maths challenge plays a big role in that.

Beginning before KCLMS had even opened its doors, the weekly maths challenge is one of our most enduring outreach activities. Since its inception, KCLMS has produced nearly 250 problems!

We were thrilled that during lockdown our young participants sent through twice as many responses as usual each week. Furthermore, the number of solutions received for any previous academic year skyrocketed, breaking the 300 barrier for the first time.

This is a fantastic milestone. KCLMS is delighted to be providing mathematical challenge in this way for so many young people beyond our own students.
